The Nottingham Lions will be hoping to bounce back from their first defeat of the season at the first attempt as the Fylde Flyers visit the National Ice Centre this Sunday. (7.15pm face off).

The Lions remain top of the Division North 2 standings despite losing 5-3 to the Stingrays at Hull Arena last Saturday. However, the table remains very tight with just two points separating the top four teams.

Back in September, Nottingham began their season on the Lancashire coast with a 7-4 win over the Flyers. In a tough encounter, they found themselves two goals down after the first period but they managed to turn things around, going on to win by a three-goal margin, helped along by an Ollie Betteridge hat-trick.

Fylde have had a mixed start to their campaign so far, losing six games and notching up two victories over local-rivals Blackburn and a close 4-3 victory over Hull.

So get yourselves down to the NIC this Sunday for some exciting NIHL action and help roar the Lions to victory!
