The Nottingham Lions can today announce the third player to put pen to paper for next season, with 5ft 11in forward Paul Stanley returning to the Pride for their second season in the Moralee League.
This is Stanley’s second spell at the Lions having played 28 games for the club as a junior between 2000 and 2002, scoring 25 points in that time. He has also iced eight times for Great Britain’s U18 side, scoring three goals.
Since returning to the Lions he has been one of the clubs most prolific scorers amassing 56 points in 57 games.
The 34 year old spoke of his optimism ahead of next season saying: "I'm excited to see if we can push on from a great first season in the Moralee with the big boys. I'm really keen to make a real impact and possibly take a few scalps of the bigger budget team’s.”
Head Coach of the Nottingham Lions is also pleased to have an experienced player back in the side next season: "Stanno is an absolute work horse and has got real grit and determination - every time he steps on the ice he gives his all and really wants to compete.“
He's a great asset to have in the team and there's no doubt when he clicks he can really unsettle opposition defences."
